Hello! Iāve been meaning to update this blog, but as always, I got lazy. Howās life? Well, in the first two months of this year, a lot has happened. Good and bad. Iād like to think that the good outweighs the bad though. Iām gonna stay on the positive side of things. So, Iāve been binging a lot since the year started, and at the same time, Iāve been quite productive. I started journaling, again, this year, though I donāt really write down my thoughts. It was messy, tbh. I just basically list down important events that happened or things Iāve experienced, and yes, I also keep track of the stuff I finishedābooks/stories, series, movies, mugs I bought and made. So far Iām still on track. I just hope I can continue with journaling throughout the year.
Anyways, for the past few years, Iāve been living an unhealthy lifestyle. I donāt exercise, I donāt even regularly stretch. I love to eat sweets, processed, and junk foods. I guess it finally takes its toll on me. So the last two months of last year, my period suddenly became irregular and just last month, I had my period for 26 days. I had a check-up by the second week because I was getting scared that it was not stopping. I did a TVS ultrasound, the doctor gave me medicines to control the bleeding and for anemia. We had to monitor for another 3 days to see if the bleeding will stop. Unfortunately, it did little help so she advised me to undergo a dilation and curettage surgery. It was a minor one but I got frightened for my life. I immediately agreed, but the hospital rates are way too high for my budget, so I had to look for other doctors/hospitals. Sickness is no joke. It would cost you a lot. As a self-employed individual for almost 3 years, I stopped contributing to SSS, Pag-IBIG, and Philhealth, thus I was not eligible to avail of the benefitsāPhilhealthās hospital discounts. I know, I know, sucks to be me. Long story short, got a successful operation, but yes, the lab results were not that okay. Iāll be returning every now and then for my checkups. I have tons of meds to take, and a lot of food/drinks to avoidācoffee, soya, tea, chocolate, soda, and other estrogen-rich foods. Oh fuuu, how will I function without coffee? Oh well. Gotta stay healthy, gotta get better. What else happened?
- Started learning a new coding language. Got complimented by the head dev for the progress I was making. Yay!
- Iāve been really into pottery. Iām starting to love this craft. It was so nice to know that the pottery community is growing, esp, on Instagram. Iāve met new online pottery friends lately. I also received a comment from one of the great potters/ceramicists I look up to here on my blog. Wasnāt expecting her to read my blog, because duh? Who reads blogs nowadays? Kidding aside. It was really heartwarming.
- I finally sent all the bone dry works of my family from last year and a few pieces from this year for firing. Thank goodness, everything survived. I was worried the handles might break during shipment. Now, I just hope it will all survive in the kiln. *fingers crossed*
- Attended a painting pottery workshop. Got to learn the basic of glazing. I also finally got my pieces back from my first workshop from the same studio. Will be creating a different post about it.
- I finished 12 series and 7 moviesāa mix of animes, and Japanese, Korean, Filipino, English series/movies.
- Series: Hospital Playlist; The Package; Final Season: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina; Million Yen Women; Toradora!; Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day; The Millionaire Detective; Gameboys; The Uncanny Counter; Fate: The Winx Sage, Doctor X S1; The Promised Neverland S1
- Movies: Fangirl; Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll; Hidden Figures; Space Sweepers; Fireworks; Concussion; Project Power
- Iāve read 2 books, 3 Wattpad story and other ongoing ones, and a Twitter Daragon AU
- We Are Okay by Nina Lacour; Turtles All The Way Down by John Green; When Will It Be Me? by Seeyara; Sirene by Binibing Mia; Thy Love by Binibining Mia; Letās Not Fall In Love by @NyongdalAU
- Bought 7 stoneware mugs, and made 5 mugs/cups.
Thatās it. Letās all be healthy and safe. I know this is just another trial that I have to overcome. Iām just really really grateful Iām still well and alive. Thank You! x
